1. Overview
This page explains how to request deletion of personal data that Optimum Technology Holding Sdn Bhd (Company No. 1461003-T) may hold about you. We provide this page in line with:
- The Personal Data Protection Act 2010 of Malaysia (PDPA), which gives you the right to request deletion of your personal data.
- The Meta Platform Terms, which require any business advertising or operating apps on Facebook and Instagram to publish a working Data Deletion URL.
Where we hold personal data about you, you can request its deletion at no cost.
2. What data we may hold
We only collect personal data when you choose to share it with us. Depending on how you have interacted with us, this may include:
- Enquiry data — name, email, WhatsApp number, company, and project details submitted via our website, WhatsApp, or email.
- Client project records — communications, documents, and contractual records related to services we have delivered.
- Marketing engagement data— clicks, form submissions, or other interactions with our advertisements on Meta (Facebook & Instagram), Google, or LinkedIn.
- Website analytics — aggregated, non-identifying usage data collected through Google Analytics. This data does not normally identify you individually.
We do not operate consumer accounts that require a Facebook or Google sign-in. We do not store passwords, payment card details, or sensitive personal data on our own infrastructure.
3. How to request deletion
You can submit a deletion request through any of these channels:
- Email — support@optimumtech.my with the subject “Data Deletion Request”.

4. What to include in your request
To help us locate and verify your data quickly, please include:
- Your full name.
- The email address, phone/WhatsApp number, or company name you used when interacting with us.
- A short description of the data you would like deleted — for example, “all enquiry records” or “data Meta may hold from my interactions with your Facebook ads”.
We may ask for additional verification (such as a reply from the original email address) before processing a request, to make sure we don’t delete the wrong person’s data.
5. Timeline
- We will acknowledge your request within 3 business days.
- We will complete the deletion within 30 days of receiving your verified request, in line with PDPA timelines.
- If your request is unusually complex, we may extend this period and will let you know the reason and new timeline.
6. What gets deleted (and what doesn’t)
On a successful request, we will delete or anonymise the personal data we hold about you. However, we may need to retain certain records to comply with Malaysian law:
- Tax, accounting, and audit records related to invoiced services — retained for up to 7 years as required under the Income Tax Act 1967 and Companies Act 2016.
- Records required to defend legal claims or comply with regulatory requests.
- Aggregated, non-identifying analytics that no longer identify you individually.
Where we retain data for these reasons, we will restrict access to it and not use it for any other purpose.
7. Meta (Facebook & Instagram) platform data
If you interacted with us through a Facebook or Instagram ad, Page, or Messenger conversation, Meta may also hold data about that interaction under its own policies. There are two independent steps you can take:
- Ask us to delete the data we received from Meta about you (for example, lead form submissions) — use the email or WhatsApp channels above.
- Ask Meta directly to manage or delete the data they hold about your activity. You can review and control this through your Facebook or Instagram account settings at accountscenter.facebook.com, including activity off-Meta technologies.
We do not operate a Facebook Login app for end-user accounts. If you believe you used Facebook Login to access one of our services in the past, please contact us with the details and we will verify and act on the request.
