A dance studio lives or dies on class occupancy, so the website's real job is to get someone from curiosity to a booked slot without a phone call. Optimum Technology built SIM Dance Studio a booking-led site designed around exactly that — for a studio that happens to be based in Taman Mount Austin, the same Johor Bahru neighbourhood as our own office.
About SIM Dance Studio
SIM Dance Studio has been running since 2013 from Jalan Mutiara Emas 10/2 in Taman Mount Austin, Johor Bahru, with over ten years of teaching behind it and more than 500 students trained. It offers professional dance training for every level under the line "To Be The Best, Learn From The Best" — train with purpose, move with confidence, perform with impact. Beyond regular classes, the studio runs private sessions, workshops, masterclasses and performance opportunities, alongside annual showcases, recitals and community performances.
Eight styles
The class range covers Foundation, Hip Hop, Waacking, Popping, Choreography (their most popular), Soul Dance, Heels and K-pop — a spread wide enough that presenting it clearly was itself a design problem.
What we built
The site is organised around booking rather than browsing. A class schedule and booking system sits at the centre, with member login so returning students go straight to what they need. Three pricing tiers are laid out side by side — a single class at RM80, the Standard Plus package at RM600 for 24 classes over three months, and Premium unlimited annual membership at RM3,600 — so a prospective student can self-select without asking. Around that sit instructor profiles, a gallery, an events calendar for showcases and recitals, and WhatsApp, email and social links across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and YouTube.
The visual direction leans dark and editorial, letting the studio's own performance photography carry the pages — the right call for a brand whose product is ultimately how it looks on stage.
